Does this work with the E74 error? That’s what I got because Modern Warfare 2 destroyed my 360 with it’s awesomeness.

after the towel trick , mine only works when you stand it up tall
so , even tho its bad for and the disc may fall out and make the problem even worse .. chances are small

I have done the “towel trick” a couple of times and worked every time. Then I got tired of doing the towel trick and decided to do the permanant fix. So far (3 weeks now) I have had no problems what-so-ever.

How long does this last for? He said you can do It and It lasts for a week or so but can you keep doing the “Towel Trick” to fix it even more?

i did this with 1 towel for 20 minutes then put it in the freezer in a towel(keep out condensation) and it worked for like 10 minutes and did it again =[
i just got the new MW2 and i cant freaking play it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All this does is head all the solder up so hot that it becomes semi-liquid, allowing it to re-flow into the holes it should. What that does is essentially re-solder the bad solders. The problem is you’re also heating up your graphics and central processors to ungodly temperatures, which means they can be permanently damaged. It’s best just to wait the week or two and send it in to Microsoft.
